Dr. Eaton received his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania, thereafter completing his residency in comparative ophthalmology at the University of California-Davis. He is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Dr. Eaton established the Ophthalmology Service at CUVS, but left in 2014 to pursue research interests. He is currently a clinician scientist with Ocular Services On Demand (OSOD) and Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California-Davis.
Dr. Eaton’s clinical and research interests include ocular toxicology, translational medicine and ophthalmology, primate ophthalmology, and comparative ocular oncology. His research has recently been published in the Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and JAVMA, and he is a scientific reviewer for both the Veterinary Ophthalmology and ILAR journals. He is a regular speaker with International Veterinary Seminars (IVS) and the annual AVMA Convention.
