Please call 203-595-2777 to schedule an appointment. We kindly ask new clients arrive 15 minutes early to allow themselves time to complete the necessary intake information. You may also fill out the registration forms online ahead of time. Whenever possible, we request your primary care veterinarian provide us with a referral form. This provides us with background regarding your current problem. It is important we receive copies of your pet’s medical records, radiographs, bloodwork and any other diagnostic test results prior to your arrival. You may be asked to fast your pet the day of their appointment (withhold food, but water is permitted). Please try to be as specific as possible when calling for a consultation so our staff can determine whether or not your pet will require fasting, as it is not recommended for all patients. If your cat or dog is taking any medications, please bring the medication with you to the consultation. All of this allows for a thorough and complete consultation with one of our specialists. The initial visit may take between one and three hours.
If you are unable to make your appointment and need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as soon as possible so that we may assist another pet in your place. If you are calling after specialty hours, please be sure to leave a message on the main line. If you need to reschedule, a Client Service Coordinator will return your call promptly in the morning to offer you and your pet a consultation at another time.
Our consultation fees vary between specialty departments. They range between $150 and $250 depending upon the severity and extensiveness of your pet's health needs. For the most accurate consultation charge, please call one of our Client Service Coordinators. At the time of your consultation, our specialists will carefully review your pet’s records, examine your pet and work with you to determine the best course of action. You will receive a detailed, individualized treatment/services regimen that outlines the anticipated cost associated with each recommendation.
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express). We do retain a deposit prior to the start of any treatment regimen; any remaining balance for services is due upon hospital discharge of your pet.
