Dr. Tarbell graduated from the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed a rotating internship as well as a specialty internship at the Animal Medical Center, followed by a residency in Diagnostic Imaging. Dr. Tarbell practiced in Maryland for a few years before joining the CUVS team in 2022. She is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology.

Dr. Tarbell enjoys using multiple imaging modalities in a complementary way to help diagnose patients – especially radiographs, ultrasound, and CT. She collaborates closely with each patient’s entire care team to ensure that every pet gets individualized imaging to best diagnose and monitor his/her health status. She also enjoys diagnostic imaging in exotic animals.
